Kevlar®/Coolmax®/Nylon-blend, 4-way-stretch, uncoated, IBQ Diabasa, 230g/sqm

This innovative blended fabric from IBQ Textiles combines Kevlar®, nylon, COOLMAX® polyester and Lycra® to create an extremely durable, cut-resistant, and elastic material-ideal for applications where abrasion resistance, cut resistance, and freedom of movement are equally important. The outer layer consists of durable, lightly textured polyamide, while the inner layer is reinforced with strong loops of integrated Kevlar® fibers. These fibers are not only extremely tear- and cut-resistant, but also heat resistant - perfect for withstanding even very high levels of friction. Lycra® makes the fabric bi-elastic and further increases wearing comfort. Due to the woven Kevlar® fibres, the fabric has a slightly rough texture and can be a little scratchy when worn directly on the skin. The fabric is highly windproof, yet remains very breathable and, thanks to the COOLMAX® fibers, has efficient moisture transport, which contributes to a comfortable wearing experience.
Due to its low weight, this Kevlar® blend fabric is ideal for reinforcing garments and equipment that are subject to increased mechanical stress. Typical applications include abrasion-resistant and cut-resistant reinforecements on outdoor and ski pants, workwear, cycling clothing, gloves, gaiters, shoes, backpacks and bags. IBQ Diabasa is generally too thin for protective clothing for motorcyclists and the like, but can still be used for lightweight reinforcement. The proven, stronger IBQ Goliath Kevlar® blended fabric offers more protection for this purpose.
