Heat- and Cutting Protection

Fabrics made from aramids such as Kevlar or Nomex are the non plus ultra, when it comes to heat or cut protection. Kevlar impresses by its extremely high tensile strength and temperature stability and is ideal as cut or abrasion protection at high temperatures.

Nomex on the other side is specifically designed for use at high temperatures and heat protection. By mixing with other high-tech fibers such as Panox, these properties will even be optimized. And as for other fabrics, the coating is here important for the application - for Kevlar especially as protection from UV-radiation or from abrasion.
