Active insulation fleece, recycling-polyester, Pontetorto, 105g/qm color: black

The Italian fleece manufacturer Pontetorto is launching its own range of Active Insulation, similar to 'Alpha'. The principle is the same as the original, but 'Made in Italy': the very open, hydrophobic knit made from 100 per cent recycled polyester forms a loft of very fine, sturdy fibres that traps body heat in numerous air chambers. The open structure allows for excellent air exchange between the body and the environment and prevents heat build-up. Active Insulation keeps you warm even when damp, compresses very well and is very easy to care for. It can be combined with a wide variety of outer and inner fabrics, is sturdy enough to be used without a lining and requires no reinforcing seams. It is just as easy to work with as conventional fleece. To achieve the lightest and most breathable garments possible, it is ideal to combine it with very lightweight, highly breathable and wind-resistant Active Shell fabrics. Perfect applications include lightweight jackets, waistcoats, trousers, gloves or hats for autumn and winter endurance sports, e.g. mountaineering, jogging, cross-country skiing, hiking or ski touring.
