For robust, comfortable rainwear in the high-end class: the N-Shell from Malden Mills outperforms almost all other waterproof, breathable laminates in terms of comfort and breathability. With a particularly good RET value, it does not offer much resistance to escaping water vapour. It has a matt, very stable nylon outer fabric. Ideal for demanding, comfortable rainwear, as a jacket or trousers that protect against rain and wind and can also withstand heavy use, such as carrying heavy rucksacks or contact with rocks. The laminated lining on the inside improves wearer comfort and additional lining is not necessary.
