YKK DynaPel® 3C Zippertape by the meter color: black

With DynaPel®, YKK offers a modern alternative to traditional water-repellent AquaGuard® zippers. Instead of a polyurethane coating, the yarn is treated with a water-repellent finish that prevents water from penetrating the tape. The technology used is PFAS-free and offers impressive resistance to abrasion and repeated wash cycles. Reapplying a water-repellent treatment to the zipper is not necessary, even after prolonged use. However, as with AquaGuard®, water can penetrate to a limited extent through the gap between the two zipper halves.

Because there is no coating, the zipper tape remains pleasantly soft and flexible with a textile look and is easy to work with, even on curved surfaces or curved seams.

Another advantage: The zipper is made of 100% recycled polyester. Since there is no polyurethane coating, the product consists of a single material, which can simplify recycling.

This YKK® DynaPel® 3C zippertape is sold by the meter. With this by-the-meter zippertape, you can make your own non-separating zippers of any desired length. The smooth side of the zipper should face outward (reverse). You can find the matching sliders in the accessories section below. Thanks to its water-repellent treatment, the zipper is highly water-resistant. This largely eliminates the need for cover strips, reduces sewing effort, and saves weight. Suitable for jacket pockets, underarm vents, tents etc.
