WINCH compact right, magnetic twist buckle, sewable

Fidlock has come up with something very special for its fasteners: Small neodymium magnets are hidden inside, which automatically click together when the parts are brought together. A mechanical latching mechanism automatically locks the fasteners tightly. A light impulse is enough to open them. Thanks to this ingenious technology, Fidlock buckles are extremely easy to use - even with one hand or with gloves - and still secure. The WINCH system from Fidlock combines the properties of a ratchet with those of a magnetic fastener. A cord is fixed in the upper part of the fastener. By turning the upper part, a cord is reeled in like a spool and can thus be tensioned. Now the highlight: by simply lifting the upper part, the fastener can be released and the tension on the cord released. When the two parts are brought together again, the magnets pull them together precisely so that the cord can be tensioned again.

The WINCH Compact Right is a small version in the WINCH range and offers a breaking load of 16 kg despite its handy size and low weight. This clockwise version is tensioned by turning it clockwise. The WINCH Compact Right consists of three parts: a sew-on base plate, an upper ratchet and a cover. For assembly, the thick cord is threaded through the holes from below and can then either be knotted or threaded through. The cover plate is then fitted from above. The cord thickness for the WINCH Compact Right is 1.25mm - 2 mm. When using cords with a diameter of 1.5mm or less, the supplied reduction plate is required. This system is perfect for applications such as quick-release systems on shoes or compression straps on rucksacks and bags.
