Breathable and Waterproof, 2-layer Laminates by the meter

2-layer laminates are waterproof, windproof and breathable fabrics, which are particularly suitable for rainwear. As the name implies, they consist of two layers. One is a thin, waterproof and breathable membrane which is laminated to the inside of the outer fabric. So that the membrane lays open on the inside. To protect the membrane from damage and abrasion as well as to increase the wearing comfort the fabric should be lined with a thin taffeta or net lining. The great advantage of these laminates is that they are soft, flexible and have a high wearing comfort. They are also perfect for sewing projects with insulation as Climashield or down. If you need something stronger or a backpack-suitable, a 3-layer laminate is recommended.
