Cam Buckle
With a cam buckle the webbing can be fixed by clamping. After loosening the cam, the strap can be adjusted or pulled completely out of the buckle. In contrast to a side release buckle or a ladderlock the clamping effect is lifted here immediately. Therefore, the webbing is faster to move, but is not so easy to adjust or shorten by simply pulling the strap. For a well-functioning cam buckle, it is important to pay attention to the correct thickness of the webbing, otherwise the folding lever does not clamp the tape sufficiently. Cam buckles are very popular for use on messenger bags for quick adjusting of the shoulder strap.
