Liquid
For sealing seams, there is a small selection of liquid adhesives that are especially suitable for seam sealing. A thin film of the adhesive is applied or brushed onto the clean seam. This seals the seam holes and remains flexible even after drying. The best-known adhesive for this is probably Seam Grip, a PU adhesive that can also be used as a versatile repair adhesive. Alternatively, Seam Sure, a water-based urethane seam sealer that is quick and easy to apply and dries to a transparent, barely visible film, also helps. Both seam sealers work on almost all synthetic, non-elastic fabrics with a smooth, non-fleece surface. One exception is silnylon. Only Silnet, a special seam sealer for silicone-coated fabrics, will hold on these fabrics.
