Aquaguard by YKK stands for highly water-repellent and windproof zippers by YKK, which are suitable for rainwear, softshells as well as bags and backpacks. These coil zippers have a PU-coating applied to the backside of the tape, which is the outside for the Aquaguard coil zipper. This makes the zipper almost leak-proof from the outside, minimising cover strips and thus saving weight and processing work.
