ULTRA TX70, backpack-laminate, Polyester with ULTRA-CrossPly, 98g/sqm

Ultra TX70 is a thin, lightweight bag or backpack laminate from Challenge Sailcloth weighing 98g/sqm. It has a three-layer construction: On the outside is a thin, light gray 70den ripstop polyester, and on the inside is a 0.25mil thin polyester film. In between are diagonal black CrossPly fibers made of extremely tear-resistant UHMWPE-ULTRA. UHMWPE fibers are currently considered the non-plus-ultra in terms of tear strength and abrasion resistance and are also known as Dyneema®, Spectra® or Tsuunoga®. Due to the CrossPly fibers, the ULTRA TX70 has very good crosswise stability and tear resistance. With the low material thickness and the high polyester content (in contrast to other ULTRA styles), ULTRA TX70 is only suitable for applications with lower mechanical stress such as small bags or accessories. The polyester film ensures that ULTRA TX70 is reliably waterproof (as long as the film is undamaged).

Seams can be sealed and stabilized with the <a href='https://www.extremtextil.de/en/search?p=1&q=ultra%20tnt%20psa&o=7&n=15&cf=502' title='UltraTNT™ PSA Tape as meter-goods'>UltraTNT™ PSA Tape</a>.
