2mm thickness
Polyethylene in its firm high-density (HD) version is a very universal plastic. At 2mm thick, it is sufficiently strong to be used as a stiffener on bags and backpacks, adapts to many shapes and always remains flexible. With its 2mm thickness, it is very robust against abrasion and very break-resistant. It is also very easy to process: Polyethylene HD in 2mm thickness can still be cut well with a cutter or scissors, and with a good household sewing machine you can sew through the sheet without any problems. When gluing, however, there are limitations that should be taken into account. For applications where you need a stiffer and even more robust plastic, e.g. as a firm stiffener in bicycle bags, polyamide is better suited.
