Polyamide

Polyamide (PA6) is an extremely wear-resistant, tough and abrasion-resistant plastic. The polyamide sheets are somewhat stiffer and heavier than the polyethylene sheets, but also more robust. They are therefore always the right choice if you are looking for very robust and stiff plastic, e.g. for stiffening bicycle bags. Due to its higher strength, processing is not quite as easy as that of polyethylene: although it is easy to drill and saw, it can hardly be cut with a cutter or scissors. It also cannot be sewn with a sewing machine.
