Nylon 6.6, 210den, TPU-coated both sides, heat-sealable, 475g/sqm, 2nd choice

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) as a coating combines perfect properties for outdoor equipment: It is 100% waterproof and airtight, extremely durable and ironing makes it easy to create durable, waterproof connections. But not all TPUs are equally suitable for DIY and MYOG applications where ease of processing is also important. That's why we sat down with one of the top manufacturers to find the perfect combination. The result is our new TPU-coated 6.6 nylons: the TPU film can be ironed even at relatively low temperatures, but is of course still very durable and abrasion-resistant. The thickness of the film is also tailored to this combination of properties. The nylon 6.6 base fabric is not only significantly more tear-resistant than regular nylon 6, it also has a significantly higher tolerance to heat and leads to fewer wavy seams. Of course, all TPU films that we offer are hydrolysis-resistant and therefore also suitable for use in permanently damp environments (e.g. seat cushions that are inflated by mouth).

This double-sided TPU-coated, 210den Nylon 6.6 is laminated on both sides of the fabric with a 0.13mm thick, clear, smooth TPU-film. The coating is completely waterproof, airtight, scratch resistant and resistant to many chemicals. It is easy to weld coating to coating using heat and pressure (e.g. with an iron or hot air dryer). This makes it possible to create airtight and waterproof seams with very high adhesive strength. Thanks to its high scratch resistance, resilience and UV stability, the coating can also be used on the outside. Suitable for bags, rucksacks, bicycle bags, waterproof storage bags, packrafts etc..
