Dyneema®

Dyneema® is a high-strength fibre made from UHMW-PE.  The brand used to be owned by DSM, nowaddays it belongs to Aviant. 
In addition to the name Dyneema®, UHMW-PE is also known under the names Spectra®, Ultra® and Tsunooga®. Due to its high strength and low weight, the fibre is very popular for high-quality materials in the outdoor sector. It is also used in ropes, for occupational safety, sailing, climbing, in medicine, for jeans and for motor sports. Dyneema® is also marketed as the world's strongest fibre™ and is said to be 15 times stronger than steel. However, as no information is provided regarding the exact alloy and heat treatment of the steel, this statement can be considered more of a marketing claim than a sound basis for comparison.
