Instructions for a handy, quickly sewn laptop protector

Surprisingly simple sewn, padded laptop bag with Velcro fastening. The piece was finished within half an hour. I used the lightweight X-Pac 07 as the outer material, the lining made of 3mm thick 3D mesh fabric protects the laptop from shocks. The bag weighs just 130g with a size of 35x24cm.
And it's so easy:
- Cut the fabric to the right size for the laptop. The 3D mesh fabric has no seam allowance, the outer fabric has a 2cm seam allowance.
- The Velcro tape is sewn onto the lining, the fleece tape onto the outer fabric. The correct position can be found by testing with a laptop.
- The 3D mesh fabric is placed on the centre of the outer fabric, left sides facing and sewn close to the edge. This results in a 2 cm overhanging edge of the outer fabric all around.
- Fold the edge in half to the left and sew it in place. The result is a 1 cm wide edge of outer fabric.
- The part that holds the laptop is folded right sides together and the edges are sewn tightly to the 3D mesh fabric without catching the mesh fabric.
- Now just fold the 1 cm wide outer fabric edges of the cover onto the mesh fabric and sew in place - done.
