EtaDry 130 BIO / Ventile® Dry 130 ORG, waterrepellent cotton, 130g/sqm
With the EtaDry / Ventile® Dry line, the Swiss manufacturer Stotz is adding functional fabrics to its weatherproof EtaProof / Ventile® cotton, where weather protection is not quite so important. EtaDry / Ventile® Dry has a slightly looser weave, but in combination with the impregnation it still provides light rain protection. In contrast to EtaProof, EtaDry / Ventile® Dry is not windproof, but only highly wind-repellent. The feel is softer than EtaProof / Ventile® due to the thinner material thickness and the slightly looser weave.
Like EtaProof / Ventile®, EtaDry / Ventile® Dry is also made of 100% finest, uncoated cotton, which swells slightly in the rain and thus becomes denser. A fluorocarbon-free impregnation is used, which supports the water-repellent properties of the material. As no coating or membrane impedes water vapor transport, the climate in the garment remains very pleasant in all situations. It is therefore very comfortable to wear, airy and hardly rustles at all. EtaDry 130 / Ventile® Dry 130 with its 130g/sqm is suitable for making shirts, windshirts or super-light jackets, for example, as well as a skin-friendly lining.

EtaProof is not primarily a durable fabric, but is characterised by its ability to provide natural weather protection. In terms of abrasion and tear resistance, it cannot compete with fabrics made of synthetic fibres. During intensive use, the light natural colour of the cotton may appear. This is a desired effect for many customers, similar to a washed-out jeans.
Care instruction:
The manufacturer recommends hand washing. However, machine washing at 30°C is also possible without damaging the fabric. Use liquid soap and no fabric softener! Hang wet on a shaped hanger to dry. Each wash weakens the waterproofing, so we recommend washing as infrequently as possible and removing stains with a brush or sponge. Dry cleaning with perchloroethylene is possible. Ironing at medium temperature is possible. The waterproofing can be reactivated by ironing.
