Original Dacron for our kite-, sail- and windsurf-costumers. The woven Dacron surf polyester sailcloth 170 MT by Dimension Polyant is made out of tightly woven polyester yarns and is treated by a melamine based impregnation. This gives the fabric the typical properties for Dacron: Very high tear-resistance and abrasion resistance Very good bias stability outstanding durability long working life very good UV-stability no waterabsorption low stretch, even when wet fast drying stiff touch.
The construction and finish gives the fabric the Dacron-typical stiff touch and makes the fabric windproof, but not waterproof.
Dacron is made in many styles, this style is suitable for the following applications: Kitesurfing Kites (leading edge, struts, reinforcements, repairs) Bags, Shoulder Cases, Sleeves, Wallets Diamond Kites, Stunt Kites, Windsurfing sails, Hanggliders, Ultralights Sails for dinghies
