Cord tensioner, Phantom Cord Adjuster, 2,5mm

Duraflex® has found a particularly clever solution with this small and lightweight cord tensioner! With classic cord adjusters, the tensioning loop can no longer be opened once the tensioner has been attached. This is still possible with the Phantom Cord Adjuster. The guy line can also be placed around high objects or through eyelets. Ridgelines from tarps can be simply looped around trees or posts and then tensioned and tents can be tensioned much more flexibly.

The way it works is slightly different than usual: the guy line is attached to the tarp or tent as usual. The other end of the guy line is attached to the fastening hole of the tensioner with a knot or a small loop. The guy line and tensioner are placed around the guy point (tree, post, peg, etc.). The line tensioner is then hooked into the cord and wrapped once or twice around the bar in the middle of the tensioner. To tighten and loosen, the line tensioner is tilted slightly to take the strain off the windings. It can then be moved.  For firmer cords with a rougher surface, it is usually sufficient to wrap the cord once around the bar. For very smooth cords, such as Dyneema®, this is necessary twice. The line tensioner works with non-elastic cords up to 2.5mm and with elastic cords up to 3mm in diameter.
