For many technical fabrics, the edges should be fixated to prevent fraying. This can either be done by an extra seam or the seam can be edged with a special braid that folds very well around the edges.
For this purpose, we have several braids especially for edge binding with different widths, elasticity and thickness. The twill webbings are suitable for strong, inelastic fabrics, while the slightly elastic, flexible Polyester-ribbon is ideal for lighter, inelastic fabrics, especially when it comes to curves. For this application, also the grosgrain ribbon works very well, which you will find in the extra grosgrain ribbon category. For elastic fabrics or for shirring of inelastic fabrics or nets, elastic edging braids are suitable, which can be laid particularly well around the edge by means of a central fold.
