Strong Threads (up to 75 Nm)
Sturdy, robust threads with a strength from 75NM are suitable for processing strong, coated or uncoated fabrics as well as webbing. Our range includes high-quality sewing threads made of polyester, nylon and core-spun threads with a polyester core plus a cotton cover.
Polyester as well as nylon yarns are robust, durable and hardly absorb moisture and are therefore ideal for outdoor equipment. Core-spun yarn can also be used for tents, tarps and tarpaulins. It is just as robust and, in addition, the cotton sheath swells slightly with moisture. This seals seam holes in the fabric and water cannot penetrate through the seam as easily. For permanent waterproofness, the seam must still be sealed with seam sealer.
