YKK AQUAGUARD 8C Zippertape by the meter

Stronger 8C version of the water-repellent Aquaguard zipper from YKK. Ideal for applications that are exposed to higher mechanical stress such as bags and backpacks made of stronger fabrics or for very intensive use in backpacks or bikepacking bags. Aquaguard means: A Polyurethane (PU)-coating is applied to the back of the zipper tape. When sewn in, this side is placed on the outside. This makes the zipper highly water-repellent and protects it from dirt, making cover strips unnecessary, reducing sewing effort and saving weight. Aquaguard zippers are often used in waterproof jackets and softshells from many well-known outdoor brands. With the meter goods, you can make your own non-seperating zippers of the desired length. Not to be confused with waterproof zippers, such as used in dry suits.
