Nylon Tafetta, ultralightweight, active shell, 25g/sqm

A touch of fabric that weighs only 25g/sqm and is so thin that it is highly sheer. This superlight polyamide has a matt, impregnated outer surface. Due to a dense weave and a very light calendering, the fabric is highly wind-resistant, but remains airy enough to also provide high breathability. This combination of wind protection and high breathability makes it ideal for super-ultralight windshirts for high-movement sports in moderate temperatures. Or as a very lightweight outer fabric for active-insulation garments in combination with Alpha Insulation or Climashield. Active Insulation garments are characterized by thermal insulation tailored to the activity - depending on the insulation used - combined with high breathability. Since wind and air are not completely blocked, heat build-up is prevented even at a high level of movement.  With so much lightness, however, this fabric can withstand only limited mechanical stress.
