XL handlebar bag made from X-Pac® RX30
Versatile bag based on the “Junk Trunk” pattern by The Functional Sewing Project. The bag can be used as a spacious handlebar bag, a shoulder bag, or a large saddle bag.
When extremtextil was launched a good 20 years ago, usable MYOG patterns were still a rarity.
A lot has happened since then and the right pattern and instructions are now available for many projects. Of course, this development is also exciting for us and we are testing out one or two of them. We are currently very enthusiastic about the bikepacking patterns from The Functional Sewing Project! We've already had the spacious "Junk Trunk" handlebar bag with us on several tours. Naturally made to measure from X-Pac® RX30 in subtle ocean blue, with Fidlock buckles for the flap closure and Fixplus® straps for the handlebar attachment. The thin, gray lining ensures good visibility in the bag, and all kinds of small items can be stowed in the two side pockets, ready to hand. Thanks to a sewn-in PE plate, the bag keeps its shape even on rough terrain and as a shoulder bag. As the lid flap covers the entire bag, the contents are largely protected from the rain.
