Foldable Ultralight Backpack incl. instruction

Lightweight, minimal backpack weighing only 85g with 14l volume

This project had been on my list for a long time: a very light foldable backpack, similar to a model I bought, which unfortunately gave up after a lot of use.

Short key data on the backpack:

• Weight: 85gr
• Volume (calculated): 14l
• Packing size in the bag: 12x7x7cm

The main material is Ripstop Nylon PU-coated, 68g/m². The shoulder straps are also made of ripstop nylon and are connected to the lower polyamide straps via two lightning fasteners. I chose the lightning fasteners because I find it practical to be able to "clip" the backpack to something, for example when canoeing or sailing.

In order to optimise the weight of the backpack, the following changes could be made:

• Instead of the ripstop nylon I mentioned, you could perhaps use a lighter material variant, but I wanted to have a bit of security, as I sometimes tend to overload backpacks.
• In addition, the 20mm webbing could be replaced with narrower webbing and the buckles could be replaced directly with ladder locks; this would save even more weight.
