It can't hurt to be seen - hence the colour (the microlight in grey was unfortunately already sold out at the time). Despite the bright colour, the vest has been with me since then on almost every winter and autumn tour as a lightweight warming companion. It was sewn according to a Jalie pattern ( longer size M), the outer and inner material is Pertex Microlight (44g/sqm), the insulation is Primaloft Sport 133g/sqm and the total weight is 300g.
Pictures:
Microfleece pocket lining - to warm up clammy fingers quickly.
Tanka with fabric attachment at the bottom of the Primaloft waistcoat. The tanka is attached to the inside of the hem so that it doesn't get in the way and the cord can be stowed away better inside.
One of the many intermediate steps in sewing the waistcoat. The Primaloft filling is first sewn onto the fabric parts of the outside. The individual pieces are then sewn together.
After the Primaloft has been sewn onto the outer fabric, the scrim (the backing fleece on which the Primaloft is delivered) is removed.
Almost finished... ; ) ..the inner fabric is still to come.
Clothing
Primaloft vest
I made this vest from Primaloft and Microlight mainly to keep warm when belaying in alpine climbing.
