Self-made equipment on a frosty tour in Sarek National Park

Hi there,
while looking through my travel photos, it came to my mind to send you a few pictures of the great things I made from your material. The photos were taken during a one-week holiday in February 2019 in Sarek National Park in Sweden. The stove tent, the hammock and the Fairbanks anorak are all sewn from materials I got from you. By the way, the stove is also MYOG.
Thanks to double 200g/sqm Climashield insulation I survived the -30°C there relatively comfortably :)
Tent:
- 60g/sqm polyester, one side silicone, the other side PU coating.
- Stovepipe vent made of Kevlar/Panox fabric
- Cordura reinforcements for tie-out
- 2x YKK 5VS zipper with 3x sliders to allow passage for hammock suspension.< /ul>
I copied the tent principle from the internet on www.hammockforums.net. They have a big DIY section.
Hammock (3mx1,5m rectangle):
- 60g/sqm Nylon Hammock fabric
- 2,5mm Dyneema rope without core
Underquilt (2mx1,3m rectangle cut with tension channels at the edges):
- 200g/sqm Climashield
- 34g/sqm Toray fabric with kisscoating as cover fabric
- 3mm elastic as suspension
Overquilt (1,9x1,4m rectangle with buttons and sewn-in pulls to form footbox):
- 34g/sqm Toray fabric with kisscoating
- 200g/sqm Climashield
Anorak:
- 200g/sqm 3-layer laminate
- 200g/qm Polartec Polyester Fleece
Thanks a lot for your great assortment!
Greetings,
Marvin
