I had quite spontaneously decided to take the ready-made top from the manufacturer. When I had it in my hands I nevertheless decided to build it myself.
The original bars I took for 20 euros.
Around it I planned and sewed always after my work in about 6 days and replicated the cover.
We wanted to go with child and stuff to Usedom what then also worked out great!
Only unfortunately we had sent our rain things in the suitcase ahead.....
Since July 15, 2010 this cover is now riding around and protects a 2nd child from the rain / sun / wind.
The abrasion points such as the front of the frame bend were subsequently repaired / reinforced.
Material:
Ripstop nylon tent fabric, silicone coated, 65 gsm (70773) color red.
Shall breathe, UV stable and tight. Hot cut! (Small note from us: we rather recommend a lightweight polyester here. Silnylon is not sufficiently UV stable for a bike trailer that stays outdoors a lot).
At the back top is a spreader to support the shape.
Soon there will be an add-on tent/tunneltarp as a direct attachment to the Christania.
Fabric: Polyester silicone coated, tent fabric, 80g/sqm. In leaf green.
I will see it yet!
