EtaProof 200 / Ventile® L24, weatherproof cotton, 200g/sqm
EtaProof / Ventile® offers natural weather protection with unrivaled comfort. EtaProof / Ventile® is made of 100% finest, uncoated, PFC-free impregnated cotton. Using selected, extra-long staple cotton fibers, an elaborate manufacturing process is used to produce a maximum-density fabric that is finished with a high-performance, long-lasting impregnation. EtaProof / Ventile® is therefore 100% windproof and protects against rain and snow. The cotton swells slightly in the rain and thus becomes even denser. As no coating or membrane impedes water vapor transport, the climate in the garment remains very pleasant in all situations. It is therefore suitable for comfortable all-weather clothing that does not rustle much and can be used all year round in everyday life and for outdoor activities. Thanks to the use of the highest quality cotton, EtaProof / Ventile® is very durable and robust and ideally suited for frequently used clothing.
The different thicknesses allow the application to be optimized for the individual purpose. This medium-weight version EtaProof 200 / Ventile® L24 with a weight of 200g/sqm is the most versatile version. EtaProof 200 / Ventile® L24 is suitable for most applications and is ideal for jackets and parkas. If a higher level of waterproofness is required, it can be doubled with EtaProof 170 / Ventile® L34 or EtaProof 200 / Ventile® L24. Areas that are exposed to a lot of abrasion can be reinforced with EtaProof 240 / Ventile® L19 or a nylon fabric.
A PFC-free impregnation is used for all EtaProof and Ventile® variants.
For applications where weather protection is not so important, we offer EtaDry / Ventile® Dry.

EtaProof is not primarily a durable fabric, but is characterised by its ability to provide natural weather protection. In terms of abrasion and tear resistance, it cannot compete with fabrics made of synthetic fibres. During intensive use, the light natural colour of the cotton may appear. This is a desired effect for many customers, similar to a washed-out jeans.
Processing
Use a ball point needle and polyester/cotton core-spun yarn (e.g. Rasant 75) as thread, use the thinnest possible needle for the yarn used. All seams should be vertical if possible. Cap seams are the best way to achieve waterproof seams.
Seam sealing
With correct processing, seams are usually sufficiently tight. However, seams can also be subsequently sealed with seamtape for coated fabrics.

This EtaProof version is identical to the Ventile Style L24.
Care instruction:
The manufacturer recommends hand washing. Machine washing at 30°C is also possible without damaging the fabric. Use liquid soap and no fabric softener! Hang wet on a clothes hanger to dry. Dry cleaning is possible. Every wash weakens the impregnation, so we recommend washing as rarely as possible and removing dirt with a brush or sponge. Ironing at 2 points is possible. The impregnation can be reactivated by ironing.
