Alcantara, often referred to as artificial leather, consists of a micro-fine, slightly fluffy, velvety mix of polyamide and polyurethane. With its soft, cuddly surface it is reminiscent of velour leather and is suitable for similar applications thanks to its very high abrasion resistance: As furniture upholstery, for clothing, for bags, rucksack applications or also as shoe lining or outer material. Alcantara is almost windproof thanks to its dense structure, but remains very breathable. It is also antistatic, has slight crosswise stretch, is slip-resistant and easy to clean. For processing it can be easily cut without fraying and can be sewn or glued. Thanks to its slight elasticity, it can be stretched easily and without creases.
Alcantara is produced entirely in Italy in a climate-neutral manner (over the entire life cycle) - certified by TÜV Süd - to comply to sustainability. Oeko-Tex certifies the harmlessness of the product on skin contact.
