Cordura, 160den, TPU-coated, HF-weldable, 205g/sqm
Extra lightweight version in 160den Cordura with a one sided thin TPU film. Lightweight Cordura is also a perfect choice for light, waterproof applications on bags, packing bags etc. - that's why we now have this thin and fine 160den Cordura with TPU coating in our range. Thanks to the TPU coating, the Cordura is long and reliably water and airtight. Since only a thin film is used, it remains pleasantly flexible. In addition, the TPU coating is UV-resistant, very abrasion-resistant and can be joined by heat (ironing or high-frequency welding). This makes it relatively easy to produce air and watertight seams with very high holding power. With its slightly roughened, textured and therefore pleasant to the touch surface, Cordura is super suitable for bags, backpacks, waterproof storage bags etc.

TPU info
TPU - short for "thermoplastic polyurethane" - can be formed and bonded by heat. In textiles, TPU is laminated as a film onto the fabric. The film makes the fabric reliably waterproof and airtight and can be joined coating on coating with an iron or by high-frequency welding. Our Corduras manufactured in Germany use 2 films of different thickness, which can be joined very well.
